All products and solutions by nova ratio AG are based on it's own IT software platform eRunbook. This platform was designed and developed as an information and control center for all tasks involved around service- and system management.

To accomplish this, the eRunbook platform administrates in the sense of a CMDB all relevant data, information and relationships of IT-operations as well as the configuration of the entire IT-infrastructure, beginning with the business process, across all services, applications, operating systems and devices up to location information.

All information is tagged with a time stamp and a checksum and is maintained throughout the entire lifecycle of it's IT-components within a revision proof, historic data model.

Functions provided by the eRunbook parametrization process can be individually combined and thus lead to the task solution as desired by the customer. A user may edit and further develop the parameters by means of XLS tables. This can be facilitated from a common work environment either equipped with Microsoft EXCEL or Open Office Calc.

The eRunbook platform is based on an open data model realized through a relational database. It currently supports Oracle and MySQL. This eRunbook data model is independent of the parametrization of the individual eRunbook environment and is called a DBMS-data model.

From a users point of view, eRunbook provides a data model which manages information relevant to the observed infrastructure. This data model is called a customer data model (CDM) and may be edited by means of the parametrization process to the effect that the CDM can vary from one customer to another.

Each product offered consists of the IT operating platform eRunbook and an associated best-practice-parametrization which has already proven effective for the assigned tasks and which, depending on the underlying licence model, can be further customized.

This architecture enables the simple extension of eRunbook solutions with other solution packs while making use of the existing application potential and it's existing data pool.
